Say cheese! This soccer team coloring page is a team photo, the kind every family keeps on the fridge. Three players stand at the back with their arms in the air, and three more sit cross-legged in front. A big cup takes the center spot, a ball rests on the grass, and a row of pennants spells OUR TEAM across the top of the goal.
Every child has a shirt number: 4, 8 and 5 at the back, then 11, 7 and 2 in front. Ages 4 to 11 can take this on. Plan for about 30 minutes, or split it over two days.
Make it look like your own squad
All six players wear one kit, so choosing it is the big job. Blue shirts and dark shorts are shown in our sample, but use your real team colors if your child plays. Keep the same two colors across all six and the page will look neat right away, even before a single face is done.
After that, let each player be a person. The hair and skin are all separate shapes, so your child can make this group look like friends from school or from practice. Two girls have a bun and bunches. Give them bright hair ties as a final touch.
The pennants can go in two team colors, one after the other. Yellow suits the trophy, with a pale star on the front and a brown block under it.
Small tips for a big group
- Work from the back row to the front, so your hand does not rest on finished faces.
- Do all the shirts first. It feels like quick progress and keeps a younger child going.
- Let your child find the player who matches their own shirt number and color that one last.
- Press lightly on the net, which should stay paler than the kids in front of it.
Pencils are a good choice for the small numbers. If you use markers on the shirts, go around the number first and then fill in the rest.
Teams, small and large
A full side has 11 players, but young kids rarely play with that many. Lots of youth leagues begin with 4 or 5 a side, so each child gets more touches on the ball. Six players, as in this drawing, is close to what a first team looks like.
Team photos usually put taller players at the back and shorter ones sitting in front. That is why three of them sit down. Simple!
The first Women's World Cup was held in China in 1991, and the United States won it. You can see every winner on Wikipedia's Women's World Cup page. Lifting a trophy like this one is a dream for players of any age.
Ideas for your soccer team coloring page
Coaches, this one makes an easy end of season gift. Print one per player, and let each child color it at the final practice. Write the season and the team name on the back, then have everyone sign.
Teamwork is the real lesson here. Ask what each of the six players is good at. One might be fast and one might be a kind teammate. Write a word next to each player. If your family has a dog, draw it in the front row as a team mascot.
Keep the team together

Questions
Can I add our real team name?
Yes. Write the name on the trophy base or across the top of the sheet, and swap the numbers for your players.
Is it a good page for an end of season party?
It works very well. Give each player a copy and ask teammates to sign the back.
How can a young child manage so many people?
Do one player at a time and use the same shirt color each time. Faces and hair can wait for a second sitting.
